Judges Dismiss Attempts to Invalidate Absentee Ballots (12/8/00)
Two Florida judges refused Friday to throw out 25,000 absentee ballots that Democrats claimed were illegal because GOP officials had improperly prepared the ballot applications.
In a statement read by a spokesperson for Leon County Circuit Court, Judges Nikki Clark and Terry Lewis said that despite irregularities in the application process in Martin and Seminole counties, the integrity of the election had not been compromised.
